Consultancy Opportunities at The Amani Centre for Street Children March 2026

1. Background
The Amani Centre for Street Children is a nationally registered NGO with its headquarters in Moshi and it has branches in Arusha and Singida Regions. Amani is committed to reduce the number of children living and working on the streets in Tanzania by providing a safe place for homeless children to heal, grow, and learn and when possible, re uniting them with safe and healthy homes.

2. Purpose of the assignment (functional review)
In response to an evolving governance and operational landscape, AMANI recognizes the need to strengthen its institutional effectiveness, operational efficiency, and organizational readiness. To achieve this, AMANI seeks to undertake a comprehensive Functional Review and Job Evaluation to realign its structures, systems, and human capital with its Strategic Plan, governance obligations, and strategic aspirations.

The Functional Review will assess AMANI’s organizational design, institutional arrangements, departmental mandates, staffing levels, and operational processes to ensure they are coherent, efficient, and fit for purpose especially in the wake of the Strategic Plan (SP). The Job Evaluation component will ensure that roles within the revised structure are systematically analyzed, graded, and aligned with best practice remuneration frameworks.

AMANI intends to engage a qualified consultant to conduct this review and provide independent, evidence-based recommendations that will optimize organizational effectiveness and strengthen AMANI’s ability to deliver on its mandate.
