Job Position: ERP Functional Consultant
Our Client Soft Tech Consultants is seeking to recruit a Functional Consultant who will be responsible for implementation of the IFMIS projects by gathering requirements, configuring systems, delivering end-user training, producing essential documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing pre- and post–go-live support to ensure successful deployment and client satisfaction
The role involves the following key responsibilities;
- Lead the implementation of the Revenue Payment Gateway module and other IFMIS-related solutions
- Ensure solution alignment with client needs by validating that all system modules meet defined business requirements
- Gather and document requirements, define project scope and objectives, and design functional solutions in line with organizational strategy
- Collaborate across internal teams and client departments to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes
- Deliver end-user and core team training sessions on ERP systems, both local and international clients
- Conduct remote and in-person training, including web-based and classroom sessions at overseas client sites
- Configure system, support client to conduct User acceptance test in accordance with client specific functional and process requirements
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation reflecting client specifications and implementation details
- Creating and maintaining essential documentation like operational manuals, training materials, and configuration records
- Provide ongoing support, including pre- and post–go-live assistance, to ensure stable system performance and user adoption
Principal Qualifications Required for job
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
- Alternatively, an Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Finance may be accepted with relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in finance, accounting, IT systems, or related domains
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, financial procedures, and industry best practices
- Possession of a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is considered an added advantage
Key competences
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and team interactions
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established guidelines, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient at multitasking and managing workload under pressure, maintaining focus and productivity
- Must be able to do on-site implementations for our projects within Tanzania and outside Tanzania.
- Must be able to learn and be certified in ERP products that we implement so that they can do better project implementation.
Salary Range Per Month: TZS 1.5M to 2M net per month, the rest depends on the qualifications, skills and experience.

Overall Purpose of the Role
Our Client Soft Tech is looking for a Business Development Executive who will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospects across the company’s Lines of Business (LOBs). The role requires a strong understanding of sector-specific value propositions, consultative selling skills, and the ability to work closely with internal subject matter experts to move opportunities from initial engagement through to deal closure.
Main duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities include
Understanding Value Proposition & Market Segmentation
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s Lines of Business (LOBs) and their value propositions across key industry sectors.
- Translate LOBs’ technical and functional capabilities into clear business value for prospects.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer challenges relevant to each sector.
Prospect Identification & Qualification
- Identify and profile appropriate prospects aligned to each LOB and target sector.
- Conduct market research to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Qualify leads based on business needs, decision-making authority, budget, and readiness.
Stakeholder Mapping & Relationship Building
- Identify key stakeholders within prospect organizations, including business, technical, and executive decision-makers.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies tailored to each LOB.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with prospects over the full sales cycle.
- Partner engagement and coordinating and aligning joint opportunities where applicable
Engagement, Presentations & Demos
- Engage prospect stakeholders and effectively position LOB offerings to generate interest.
- Secure meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate closely with LOB Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demos aligned to prospect needs.
Needs Discovery & Value Alignment
- During engagements, identify the prospect’s business requirements, challenges, and pain points.
- Map prospect needs to relevant LOB capabilities and articulate how the solutions address those needs.
- Contribute to refining value propositions based on real market feedback.
Opportunity Advancement & Deal Closure
- Manage opportunities from the post-presentation stage through Proof of Concept (PoC), where applicable.
- Work with internal teams to define PoC scope, success criteria, and timelines.
- Lead prospects from PoC to proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Support review and response preparation for EOIs, RFP/RFQ in collaboration with technical and management teams.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number and quality of qualified opportunities generated
- Conversion rate from meetings to presentations/demos
- Conversion rate from demos/PoCs to proposals
- Sales closures and revenue achieved per LOB
- Pipeline value and accuracy of forecasts
Principal qualifications required for job
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B business development, enterprise sales, or consultative selling.
- Experience selling technology, data, cybersecurity, analytics, or professional services solutions is an advantage.
- Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
