St John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT), a dynamic and rapidly growing higher learning institution owned by the Anglican Church of Tanzania (ACT), has announced new employment opportunities for qualified and competent professionals. SJUT is located at the Chief Mazengo Campus in the Kikuyu area of Dodoma, approximately 3.5 kilometres southwest of the city centre. Available Positions

Jobs at St John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT)

The university is inviting applications for a total of 11 vacancies in the following categories:
Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies (FOCB)
Assistant Lecturer – 6 Posts

• Accounting and Finance – 3 Posts
• Health Services Management – 3 Posts

Candidates for Accounting and Finance must possess a Master of Business Administration specializing in Accounting or Accounting and Finance, together with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting-related fields. Applicants for Health Services Management positions must hold a relevant Master’s degree in Health Services Management, Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Systems Management, or related disciplines.

Applicants must have attained a minimum GPA of 3.5 at undergraduate level and a minimum GPA of 4.0 at Master’s level.

Lecturer (Human Resource Management) – 1 Post (Re-advertised)
Applicants must possess a PhD in Human Resource Management together with relevant Master’s and Bachelor’s qualifications in Human Resource Management. Experience in teaching at tertiary education institutions will be an added advantage.

Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FaNAS)
Assistant Lecturer (Mathematics) – 1 Post (Re-advertised)
Applicants must hold a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science with Education specializing in Mathematics. A minimum GPA of 3.5 at undergraduate level and 4.0 at Master’s level is required.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Registration with the Pharmacy Council and previous experience in higher learning institutions will be considered an added advantage.

Estates Department
Estates Officer I – 1 Post
The university seeks a qualified professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Building Economics, Civil Engineering, Land Management and Valuation, or related fields. The successful candidate will assist in estate development, infrastructure management, campus maintenance planning, supervision of maintenance activities, budgeting, landscaping, drainage systems management, and coordination of technical services.

University Dispensary
Nurse II – 1 Post
Applicants must possess a Form IV Certificate and an Ordinary Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, or Public Health Nursing. Candidates must be professionally registered and have at least three years of working experience in a health centre or dispensary. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, administration of treatment and medication, maternal and child health services, health education, and maintenance of healthcare records.

Employment Terms
Successful candidates will be appointed on a fixed-term contract of four (4) years, renewable upon satisfactory performance. Salaries will be offered according to the SJUT Scheme of Service.
