Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Consultant with 3–4 years of relevant consulting, research, or development-sector experience to join the Horrizon Global solutions Ltd, Tanzania team, project delivery across design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and client engagement activities. This is an early-career professional role for someone who combines strong analytical ability with clear writing and good stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Soliciting for tenders, developing technical consulting material including proposals, tender documents and other related materials and reports.
  • Support the design and delivery of consultancy and advisory tasks: data collection instruments, literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, and project plans.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis and contribute to interpretation of findings.
  • Draft clear, well-structured deliverables: technical memos, reports, presentations and briefs for clients and donors.
  • Assist in fieldwork logistics and carry out interviews, focus group discussions and stakeholder consultations as required.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, timelines, and status updates.
  • Support capacity-building sessions and presentations to clients and partners.
  • Maintain client relationships, liaise with government, NGOs and private-sector stakeholders at the operational level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Statistics or a closely related field.
  • Postgraduate diploma or master’s degree is advantageous but not required.
  • 3–4 years’ professional experience in consulting firms, development organisations, research institutions, government agencies, or related environments.
  • Eligible to work in Tanzania.

Essential Skills & Technical Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, client-ready written outputs (reports, briefs, PowerPoint presentations).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in one or more data analysis tools (Stata, SPSS, R, Python, or similar) and/or qualitative analysis software (NVivo, Atlas.ti) is desirable.
  • Good project management skills: able to manage tasks, meet deadlines and prioritise under supervision.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially-minded Senior Consultant with 7-10 years of professional experience in consulting, project implementation and business development to join the Horrizon Global Solutions Ltd Tanzania team. The successful candidate will lead complex advisory and implementation assignments, take primary responsibility for business development and client relationship management in Tanzania, and mentor junior-level staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior technical leadership on design and delivery of high-value consultancy and advisory assignments across the organisation’s priority sectors.
  • Lead business development activities in Tanzania: identify opportunities, development of winning proposals, budgets, technical and commercial negotiations, and lead client negotiations.
  • Build and maintain an active network of clients, donors, government officials, private-sector partners and sector stakeholders to generate leads and strategic partnerships.
  • Act as the primary client-facing lead on major engagements; manage client expectations, deliver high-quality outputs and ensure client satisfaction.

  • 7-10 years’ progressive professional experience in consulting firms, international organisations, government, private sector advisory, or a mix thereof.
  • Demonstrable track record of successful business development: winning multi-stakeholder or donor-funded contracts and managing proposals from lead generation through to contract award.
