Position: Local Content Compliance Manager (1 Position)
Reports to: Country Manager
Roster: 5 : 2 (Working Days)
Sotta Mining Corporation Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Local Content Compliance Manager to lead the Company’s compliance with the Mining Act and Mining (Local Content) Regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for regulatory reporting, stakeholder engagement, compliance monitoring, and implementation of Local Content initiatives across the business.
Roles and responsibilities
- Ensure Company compliance with Local Content Regulations and provide regular reports to management.
- Act as the primary liaison with the Mining Commission and maintain all regulatory correspondence and records.
- Coordinate and submit Local Content plans, forecasts, performance reports, and other statutory submissions.
- Lead Local Content audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Develop and maintain Local Content policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Work closely with HR, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Community teams to ensure compliance obligations are met.
- Support supplier development, succession planning, technology transfer, CSR, and host community participation initiatives.
- Identify compliance risks, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

- High integrity and professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of mining regulatory compliance and Local Content requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Qualification/experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in legal, auditing or finance background, including stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in the mining sector and sound knowledge of the Mining Act and Local Content Regulations.
- Experience engaging with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders is desirable.

Position: Security Administrator (1 Position)
Reports to: Security Manager
Duty Station: Nyangaza Site, Sengerema District, Mwanza.
Sotta Mining Corporation Limited is seeking a qualified, competent and highly motivated Security Administrator to coordinate the administrative, reporting and information management functions of the Security Department, ensuring efficient and professional security operations across the mine site.

Roles and responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Company Safety, Health, Environment and Community policies, procedures and PMS safety standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through incident reporting, continuous improvement and safe work practices.
- Coordinate the activities of HAP and militia security contractors and ensure compliance with Company policies.
- Supervise, mentor and motivate team members to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Coordinate departmental schedules, reports, presentations, correspondence and project timelines.
- Manage departmental records, filing systems, incoming correspondence, emails and document archiving.
- Ensure timely communication of decisions, memos and other departmental information.
- Maintain accurate records, bookkeeping and effective internal control systems.
- Administer site access requests, access control procedures and badging systems.
- Assist in responding to emergencies and implementing practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Security Manager.
Qualification, skills & experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
- Previous experience in the mining industry with a good understanding of security operations.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving and time management skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, lead teams and build effective working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
