Job Opportunity at Watumishi Housing Investments (Transfer Vacancy)
Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI) invites qualified and dynamic Public Servants who are interested to join our organization by means of transfer to fill the following vacant position.

Introduction
Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI) was established in 2013 to implement the Public Servants Housing Scheme (PSHS). WHI is a property developer and a licensed fund manager for the management of the Watumishi Housing REIT (WH-REIT)

Senior Finance Management Officer (1 post)

Duty station
WHI Head Office Dar es Salaam
Duties and responsibilities
i. To analyze on projects financial performance;
ii. To develop budget framework for development projects;
iii. To conduct project feasibility studies and prepare financial projections;
iv. To monitor project development finance portfolio;
v. To monitor project costs against budget and forecasts;

vi. To manage project financing arrangements and debt instruments;
vii. To identify, monitor and manage project development risks;
viii. To provide project financial updates to key stakeholders;
ix. To conduct real estate market studies and analyze trends for investment opportunities
x. To analyze working capital and advise accordingly;
xi. To analyze budget, revenue and expenditure trend of the Company and to prepare and update financial management guidelines;
xii. To contribute to long-term financial planning and
xiii. To perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and experience

• Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields: Real Estate Finance and Investment, Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accounting or Finance or equivalent qualifications from recognised institutions with working experience of at least seven (7) years in the related field.

Engineer I (Environmental) (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities
i) To collect data for carrying out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment;
ii) To follow up in construction site to make sure occupational and health safety regulations are adhered to;
iii) To undertake and design of solid waste management systems;
iv) To identify and quantify the extent of pollution such as water pollution, underground water pollution etc;
v) To prepare conceptual design proposals and briefs of various projects;

vi) To develop design proposals into workable drawings as instructed by the Supervisor;
vii) To prepare complete detailed construction Environmental (plumbing) Engineering installation drawings for all building projects;
viii) To understand and apply current legislation (policies, Acts, regulations, codes, manuals e.t.c) regarding Environmental Engineering installation in building project design work;
ix) To prepare preliminary bills of quantities and costs estimates for all Environmental Engineering installation projects for checking;
x) To prepare draft project work programs/ schedules and budgets;

xi) To carry out physical site data collection in technical audits tasks / assignments related to building projects;
xii) To participate with the guidance in carrying out conditional surveys for existing structures and prepares reports;
xiii) To search and collect building projects design data and submit to the supervisor before they are used in the design work;
xiv) To collect data for carrying out feasibility studies;
xv) To undertake or/and coordinate environmental and social impact assessment;
xvi) To perform any other duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.

Qualifications and experience

• Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields; Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, Building Survey, Construction Management, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution. The candidate must be registered by AQRB or a graduate Quantity Surveyor.

Duties and Responsibilities
i) To maintain up-to-date register of files and file index books;
ii) To issue application forms and rules and regulations on library membership, use of open registered letters;
iii) To distribute files to scheduled officers;

iv) To file correspondence in appropriate files and cross-referencing;
v) To copy correspondence to relevant files and attend to them whenever necessary;
vi) To be in-charge of all dispatches, flimsy files and franking machines; and
vii) To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields: Archives, Records Management, Archives and Information Management or equivalent qualifications from recognised Institutions with working experience of at least four (4) years in the related field
