Onfon Microfinance Tanzania is hiring qualified candidates for the following three positions:

1. IT Support Specialist

About the role
Onfon Microfinance is seeking an IT Support Specialist with experience in API support, Linux operating systems, and entry-level development skills.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Educational background
Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Technical skills
The candidate should have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Programming languages: Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node.js, PHP, and JavaScript.
• API support: Ability to troubleshoot and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Database management: Knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Operating systems: Knowledge and experience working with Linux operating systems.

Experience
Applicants should have:

• Above one year of professional experience in software development or software support.
• Ability to support multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
• Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to collaborative projects.

Soft skills
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

2. Debt Collectors

Job description
Onfon Microfinance is looking for three committed and results-oriented male Debt Collectors to join its team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for following up on overdue accounts and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments.

Key responsibilities
The Debt Collectors will be responsible for:

• Contacting customers with overdue payments through phone calls and field visits.
• Following up and negotiating payment arrangements.
• Recovering outstanding debts in line with company policies.
• Maintaining accurate records of collections and customer interactions.
• Preparing daily and weekly collection reports.
• Working closely with the finance and credit teams.

Qualifications
Applicants should have:

• Male applicants only.
• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Previous experience in debt collection or customer service is an added advantage.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Honesty, discipline, and a results-driven attitude.
• Fluency in Kiswahili. English is an added advantage.

3. Territory Brand Lead (Central Zone)

Job description
Onfon Microfinance Tanzania is looking for a motivated, creative, and results-driven individual to fill the position of Territory Brand Lead (Central Zone).
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s brand presence within an assigned territory. The role also involves driving customer acquisition and sales of financial services.

Key responsibilities
The Territory Brand Lead will be responsible for:

• Implementing marketing and brand promotion strategies within the assigned territory.
• Leading and supervising the sales team.
• Identifying and recruiting new customers.
• Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
• Monitoring sales performance and preparing reports.
• Collaborating with other departments to improve service delivery.

Qualifications
Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field.
• Experience in marketing or sales is an added advantage.
